I've been playing underwater rugby, or UWR, since 2000. It is a kind of family tradition, time wise we were eight family members in the water: my two brothers (plus girlsfriend), my father, two of my uncles, my godfather, my greatcousin and me. In Heuchelheim there used to be a team of the Heuchelheimer DLRG playing a kind of "cuddle-rugby", a soft variation of the real UWR. Only in 2005 I started taking part in the leaque. In 2011 we have founded an own UWR club called UWRugbees Mittelhessen e.V.. More pictures and videos of the sport ifself or of our team can be found on the website www.uwrugbees.de.
